CRIKVENICA - my hometown

Crikvenica , is a small town with a big heart and it have been my home since I was born.

•  located in Kvarner bay of the Adriatic Sea 
• You can arrive to Crikvenica by car, boat, train, or plane

• The entire town of Crikvenica is in fact a Riviera with a row of almost connected small tourist resorts : Selce, Crikvenica, Dramalj, and Jadranovo.

    I know that is very difficult to pronounce Crikvenica, especially to people who are from English speaking    countries, so i will provide a way how to pronounce it :  [ ' tsrekvenitsa ].
      Try, its sounds funny when you read it.


   History:



     Area of Crikvenica has been inhabited since Ancient times.
     Croats inhabited it around 7th century.
     Almost 450 years it was under the domination of Duke family Frankopan.
     Frankopans brought Vinodol act in 1288.
     Most important port in Crikvenica riviera was Selce.
     First tourists came to Crikvenica in the end of last century.
     Crikveniva was known as climate spa and swimming area since 1906.

    Crikvenica offers many sports and recreation contents.
    You can enjoy in relaxing, massages, water sports.
     Offers fun in concerts, parties, exhibitions...
     You can stay in many Hotels, Pensions, apartmens, rooms, camps, villas...
     Crikvenica is famous for 8 km long pebble and sand beaches.
